Student Finance Advisors are there to help with student finance-related issues (such as late payments). Student Finance Advisors are trained in debt advice, financial management, budgeting, housing law, immigration law and benefits. They offer information and guidance on the financial support available from the university and other sources, and help for students in hardship.

However, student parents have had mixed experiences with Student Financial Services and it may be that they are not well informed about the issues affecting student parents and what student parents might be entitled to. Nonetheless, given that they are local to the area they should be able to offer guidance even if they are not completely clued up on your individual situation.
